Geoff's recent work is concerned
with the appropriation of landscape and how humans have taken ownership
of the landscape by naming geographical locations. This and the creation
of mythologies and histories can alter our perception of a site, just
as much as if the land were physically altered. "Personal interventions
have made me aware of the relevance of the materials to the places I journey
to or make work in. Many pieces I make are very temporary in nature -
some more relatable than recordable".
